The "Opera Camp" program of the Performing Arts Laboratory, directed by Diego Barbosa Vasquez, is an international model that promotes the creation of new operas with composers and librettists from around the world. In 2025, a call will be launched to select three professional composers and three professional librettists, who will receive a full commission to create an opera. Additionally, three pre-professional composers and three pre-professional librettists will be sought, who will receive a partial commission to create an act or a scene. The call is seeking Latin American and Colombian talent, highlighting the importance of cultural diversity and the interaction between different artistic disciplines.
El programa "Opera Camp" del Performing Arts Laboratory, dirigido por Diego Barbosa Vasquez, es un modelo internacional que promueve la creación de nuevas óperas con compositores y libretistas de todo el mundo. En 2025, se lanzará una convocatoria para seleccionar a tres compositores y tres libretistas profesionales, quienes recibirán una comisión completa para crear una ópera. Además, se buscarán tres compositores y tres libretistas pre-profesionales, quienes recibirán una comisión parcial para crear un acto o una escena. La convocatoria busca talento latinoamericano y colombiano, destacando la importancia de la diversidad cultural y la interacción entre diferentes disciplinas artísticas.
